Description

Participants will gain the basic knowledge and skills necessary to operate Cisco Meraki solutions. This is the first of two courses that will prepare you for the next Meraki certification.

Participant profiles

Meraki operators interested in technical training at the introductory level or to prepare for Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist certification

Objectives

Implement basic configurations for a complete stack solution in the Meraki dashboard
Deploy the basic functionalities of the Meraki product to meet basic IT requirements
Understanding and using the essential tools of the Meraki dashboard for troubleshooting

Prerequisites

Be CCNA certified or have an equivalent level of technical expertise

Module 1: Cloud and dashboard

Lesson 1: Describe the out of band control plan
Lesson 2: Describe the benefits of the cloud solution
Lesson 3: Describe the organizational structure of the dashboard
Lesson 4: Design appropriate dashboard segmentation and permissions
Lesson 5: Describe licenses and co-termination
Lesson 6: Describe and design a basic Meraki network deployment workflow

Module 2: Products and administration

Lesson 1: Security appliance platform (MX)
Lesson 2: Switching platform (MS)
Lesson 3: WLAN platform (MR)
Lesson 4: Terminal management platform (SM)
Lesson 5: Security Camera (MV) Platform

Module 3: Operation and troubleshooting

Lesson 1: Describe and troubleshoot using visibility and monitoring tools
Lesson 2: Configure firmware upgrades
Lesson 3: Describe and configure a scalable network using automation tools
Lesson 4: Configure and Troubleshoot Networks Using Live Troubleshooting Tools
Lesson 5: Describe and troubleshoot by engaging Meraki support
